UK universities are at risk of missing student growth targets as a result of reaching CAS limits meaning successful prospective international applicants cannot access student visas, but latest statistics suggest that in the year up to June 2022 study visas granted is 71% more than 2019.
Visa processing data from Enroly indicates that the current rate of visas issued is not keeping pace with recent increases in CAS issuance, during the peak period for applications.
Tier 4 policy changes being mooted by UKVI could have “catastrophic” effects for branch campuses and private providers. The Home Office has issued draft guidance on CAS issuance by universities for students enrolling at associated campuses or pathway providers.
